What is a VPS?
A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a computer that stays online 24/7 and can be accessed remotely from your phone, tablet, or computer. For Engine Profit EA, it keeps MetaTrader 5 and the EA running continuously, even when your own PC is switched off.
Why Engine Profit needs a VPS
Engine Profit is an automated trading robot. Once installed on MT5, it needs MT5 to stay connected to your broker and running, so it can monitor Gold (XAUUSD), open trades, manage existing positions, and close trades according to its programmed strategy.
If your PC shuts down, loses its internet connection, restarts, or MT5 closes, Engine Profit may stop operating.

Get a VPS
Subscribe to a Windows VPS suitable for MT5 trading. We can suggest a good provider.
Log in to the VPS
You'll receive an IP address, username, and password from your provider.
Install MT5
Install your broker's MetaTrader 5 platform inside the VPS.
Log in to your trading account
Connect MT5 to the account registered for your Engine Profit licence.
Install Engine Profit EA
Add Engine Profit to MT5 and apply the recommended settings.
Enable algo trading
Make sure automated trading is switched on in MT5.
Leave it running
Once everything is set up correctly, you can disconnect from the VPS.
Do not close MT5. Disconnecting from Remote Desktop is fine — the VPS itself keeps running.
